Gandhiji truth and non-violence are the most important aspects of life and these the two sides of the same coin.He believes that truth in human relations can be achieved only by practising non-violance,acording to him,should regulate the relations between individuals as well as nations.
To him non-violance does not mean submission to the will of the wicked person it means conscious suffering.He beleives that with the help of non-violance it is possible for an individual to defy the power of the unjust ruler.Clearly to him non-violance is not the weapon of offence.He believed that it can blunt the edge of the tyrant.
non-violance is the soul force which is found in every human being.It requires courage to face death without revenge or death of it.He thinks that violance makes human being animal and leads to total destruction.
My Experiments with truth gives us a clear idea of Gandhiji's love for truth.Gandhiji said that truth is god as it is given in hindu religion and is islam.He ways that realisation of truth is the most important aim of man.But god and truth can be realised only through love and non-violance.He also believes that the seeker of the truth should be very humble.He thinks that everything should get secondary place as far as truth is concerned.
Religion of Gandhiji means one of the objectivie methods for searching truth.He does not believe in the attitude of the fanatics with regard to religion.So he thinks that religion can guide us in day today life;it inspires to serve the poor.According to him "morality is the fundamental basis of religion" and qualityt like honestyt is the product of love since the charity and cheerfulness are the result of religious atttitude towords life.So he thinks that in order to make life worth living religion is a necessary part of individual.He asserts that the kingdom of god on earth.
Gandhiji believes that religion and politics should not be seperated.But by religion he means morality.He believes that politics shoul be based on religion and says that politics divorced from religion becomes just a mockery of politics.He says,"Politics without religion is a death trap because it kills man's soul".
