We have a lot of antiques and old coins and baseball cards as well as a ton of other stuff. We want to open our own "store" or whatever is the most cost effective way.

Try craigslist. I have always liked that because it attracts local buyers and there are no fees. You can totally control how you get paid and how you ship/deliver or have stuff picked up.
When I have sold stuff on craigslist, I never use my home as a viewing or purchase place. I usually meet them somewhere ‘half way’, they give me the money (cash only), I give them the goods, LOL.
